Jordan finishes 2nd at CMP

Friday's Race Recap

CONCORD, NC -- After breaking a trailing arm bolt before practice began and missing both rounds of practice Jordan had to overcome quite an obstacle if he was going to win tonight.

After starting 3rd in his heat race, Jordan went on to win, which would place him starting on the pole for the feature race later that night.

Once the race began Jordan was off. The Nick Pistone Racing crew had put a great setup on Jordan's car, at one point during the race Jordan had over a straightaway lead. But with only 3 laps to go, a caution was thrown for a "hanging bumper" on another car. This setup a green-white-checker- finish for all the drivers. After leading the entire race, Jordan seemed to be on his way to his 4th win of the year, but on the white flag lap coming to the checkers, Jordan was pushed out of the lead and had to settle for 2nd place.
