“I was super glad that we have showed some speed the past two weeks in a row with qualifying inside the top-12. I felt that we were able to show that same speed within the race, just had bad luck there at the end, so just didn’t get the result. Appreciate everyone’s hard work and dedication to making our program better.”

Blaine Perkins, No. 31 The Gentleman Thief Chevrolet
Stage 1 Finish: 24th
Stage 2 Finish: 30th
Finish: 20th
“A long hard fought day for our No. 31 team. We just had to keep grinding away all day, and it eventually paid off as we were able to keep our car clean and come away with a top-20 finish. It was super cool to have some of the cast from The Gentleman Thief at the race track with us this weekend. I appreciate their support and hope they had a great time seeing what our sport is all about. I’m looking forward to these two off weeks as we prepare for Daytona.”

Carson Brown, No. 32 Distributor Wire & Cable Chevrolet
Stage 1 Finish: 19th
Stage 2 Finish: 23rd
Finish: 15th
“Overall, a really good day here in Iowa in my debut. I felt like the car was a little bit better than the driver there in the race at one point. We just fired off not very well, then I just made a mistake on pit road to put us behind. Yea, I just tried to recover from my mistake. I tried to make it up to the front as easy and as much as possible without killing this thing too bad. Had a really fun green-white-checkered to come from 26th to 15th there at the end.”
