NASCAR Xfinity Series Race Recap:

– Getting redemption from earlier this season at Atlanta, #2-Jesse Love stretched his fuel tank to win the Ag-Pro 300 Xfinity Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. This is Love’s first career win in nine starts.

– #98-Riley Herbst made a spirited rally in overtime to finish runner-up, his best finish of the season. #5-Anthony Alfredo led the charge for the underfunded teams, which also saw #42-Leland Honeyman and #44-Brennan Poole crack the top five.

– #18-Sheldon Creed, #45-Caesar Bacarella, #38-Matt DiBenedetto, #27-Jeb Burton and #00-Cole Custer round out the top 10.

– Richard Childress Racing swept all three stages. Love earned his series-high fourth stage victory in the opening stage and #21-Austin Hill, who led a race-high 41 laps, won the second stage.

– There were 34 lead changes among 16 drivers and six cautions for 28 yellow flag laps.

– The average speed of the race was: 131.323 mph.

After finishing 30th in Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300, Retzlaff remains 18th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) Point Standings after the 9th race of the season.

After the completion of the 9th event of the 2024 season, the No. 31 remains 20th in the NXS Owner Point Standings after Retzlaff’s 30th place finish on Saturday.
