– Practice; After the completion of NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) safety inspection on Friday morning, Jeb Burton and the iHeart Media/ Q95 Rocks No. 27 would roll out onto the historic 2.500-mile rectangular oval of Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) for a scheduled 50-minute practice session on Friday afternoon. Burton would record a fast lap of 54.799 at 164.237 mph on Lap-4 of his 17-lap session scoring him 6th fast of the 38 cars entered for the NXS Pennzoil 250 Presented by Advance Auto Parts.
– Starting Position; Immediately after the checkered flag would fly on NXS return to the IMS oval since 2019, teams would head back to their assigned garage stall in “Gasoline Alley” and would have two hours to make preparations to go thru NXS tech inspection on Saturday morning before lining up for Pennzoil 250 Presented by Advance Auto Partsqualifying at 12:00 PM ET. IMS qualifying will consist of one-lap for one-round. Burton is scheduled to go out on track 23rd to make his lap. With 38 cars entered, no one will miss the race. Qualifying will be shown in its entirety LIVE on USA Network (USA).
– Indianapolis Motor Speedway Stats; Saturday’s NXS Pennzoil 250 Presented by Advance Auto Parts will mark Burton’s fourth NXS start at IMS. In three previous starts, Burton holds an average finish of 11.7 with an 100% lap completion rate finishing 263 laps of the possible 263. Burton’s best Indianapolis finish would come in 2019 where he would finish in the 4th position after starting 12th.

– Practice; Once clearing NXS safety inspection on Friday morning, Parker Retzlaff would see the historic oval of IMS for the first time in a scheduled 50-minute practice session on Friday afternoon. Retzlaff would record a fast lap of 54.874 at 164.012 mph on Lap-1 of his 2-lap session scoring him 9th of the 38 cars entered for the NXS Pennzoil 250 Presented by Advance Auto Parts. Retzlaff’s practice session would be cut short after the No. 31 FUNKAWAY Chevrolet would make contact with the IMS Turn-4 wall on Lap-3. The team would immediately go to work making repairs.
– Starting Position; After turning Retzlaff’s first ever laps around the historic oval of IMS in a 50-minute practice session, the No. 31 team would go to work to make repairs to go thru NXS tech inspection on Saturday morning prior to lining up for Pennzoil 250 Presented by Advance Auto Parts qualifying at 12:00 PM ET. IMS qualifying will consist of one-lap for one-round. Retzlaff is scheduled to go out on track 11th to make his lap. With 38 cars entered, no one will miss the race.
