Jeb Burton – No. 27 Golden Corral Chevrolet Preview- Las Vegas Motor Speedway

– Practice; After passing NASCAR technical inspection on Friday morning, Jeb Burton and the No. 27 Golden Corral Chevrolet would first take to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) for a scheduled split group 25-minute practice session on Friday afternoon. Scheduled to be a part of the Group 2, Burton would put down a fast lap of 30.435 at 177.427 mph on Lap-1 of his 28-lap session ranking him 5th of the 19 cars apart of Group 2 and good for 5th overall of the 38 cars entered for The LiUNA NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race.

– Starting Position; Directly after the conclusion of Burton’s split field 25-minute practice session his Golden Corral team would be allotted 10-minutes to make qualifying changes including new Goodyear tires, fresh tank of Sunoco fuel, and a few minutes to cool the ECR engine before lining up for The LiUNA qualifying to determine the starting order for Saturday’s race. In 2025, Intermediate sized tracks will use a single-lap of qualifying to determine the starting lineup. With only 38 cars entered for the The LiUNA all cars will make the field. Taking to the track 27th, Burton would record a 29.688 at 181.892 mph placing the Golden Corral Chevrolet 10th quick overall. Burton will start the The LiUNA NXS race outside Row 5 in the 10th position Saturday afternoon. 

– Las Vegas Motor Speedway Stats; Saturdays scheduled The LiUNA will mark Burton’s 10th NXS start at LVMS. In nine previous starts, Burton holds an average finish of 20.2 with an 89.8% lap completion rate finishing 1620 laps of the possible 1804. Burton has one Top-Ten finish coming in 2021 when he claimed the 10th position after starting in 5thspot. During the last visit to LVMS in the Fall of 2024, Burton would finish in the 24th spot after starting 15th

Blaine Perkins – No. 31 City Lights Shine Chevrolet Preview- Las Vegas Motor Speedway

– Practice; Once given the green light thru NASCAR technical inspection on Friday morning, Blaine Perkins and the No. 31 City Lights Shine Chevrolet would make its first laps on the 1.5-mile LVMS in a 25-minute split group practice session on Friday afternoon. Hitting the track, a part of the Group 1, Perkins would log a best lap of 30.881 at 174.865 mph on Lap-4 of his 19-lap session placing him 7th of the 19 cars apart of Group 1 and  22nd overall of the 38 cars entered for The LiUNA.

– Starting Position; Directly after the 25-minutes would expire on the split field practice session Perkins No. 31 team would be given 10-minutes to make qualifying changes including new tires, fresh Sunoco fuel, all while cooling the engine before lining up for The LiUNA. Intermediate sized tracks in 2025 will continue to use a single-lap of qualifying to determine the starting lineup. With only 38 cars entered for the The LiUNA all cars will make the field. Scheduled to go 16th, Perkins would log a 30.521 at 176.927 mph placing the City Lights Shine Chevrolet 27th fast overall. Perkins will start the The LiUNA NXS race inside Row 14 in the 27th position Saturday afternoon.

– Las Vegas Motor Speedway Stats; Taking place on Saturday afternoon The LiUNA will be Perkins 6th career NXS start at LVMS. In five previous starts, Perkins has an average finish of 29.8 with an 97.5% lap completion rate finishing 978 laps of the possible 1003. In his last visit to LVMS in the Fall of 2024, Perkins would qualify in the 35th position and loose three laps during the race to ultimately finish in the 31st spot.

– Practice; After clearing NXS technical inspection on Friday afternoon the No. 32 Overplay  Chevrolet and driver Austin Green would pull out on the LVMS for the first time in his career time during a scheduled split group 25-minute practice session. Scheduled to be apart of Group 1 with teammate Blaine Perkins, Green would put down a fast lap of 31.065 at 173.829 mph on Lap-6 of his 35-lap session putting the young North Carolina driver 11th of the 19 cars in Group 1 and 21st overall.

– Starting Position; Immediately after the conclusion of Green’s Group 1 practice session the Overplay team would have 10-minutes to quickly make qualifying changes before lining up up first of the field for The LiUNA qualifying to determine the starting order for Saturday’s race. In 2025, Intermediate sized tracks will use a single-lap of qualifying to determine the starting lineup. With only 38 cars entered for the The LiUNA all cars will make the field. Being the first car on track for qualifying, Green would put down a 31.367 at 172.155 mph early in the order. After all, 37 other cars would make their qualification runs, Green would end up 36th and will start the The LiUNA NXS race outside Row 18 in the 36th position Saturday afternoon.
