– Practice; After the completion of NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) technical inspection Friday afternoon, the field of 40 NXS cars would be split in two groups for a pair of 25-minute practice sessions. Scheduled in Group 2, Jeb Burton would record a fast lap of 20.776 at 91.144 mph on Lap 3 of his 30-lap session placing the Celsius Chevrolet 23rd quick overall. Towards the end of Burton’s session, the No. 27 would come to a stop on the entrance to pit road with an electrical issue. The Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport team would repair the issue, but per NASCAR rules would forgo their qualifying attempt.

– Starting Position. In 2025, short-track qualifying would consist of a single round of single car qualifying for two laps. Scheduled to fire off 27th in the order to make his two-lap qualification run, Burton would be scored as a scratch. Using an Owner’s Professional, Burton will line up Outside Row 19 in the 38th position for Saturday’s Marine Corps 250.

– Martinsville Speedway Stats; Making his tenth NXS start at the Martinsville Speedway, Burton holds an average finish of 17.7 in nine previous starts. Capturing a career best 4th place finish in October of 2020. Burton holds a 96.6% lap completion rate with 2216 laps completed of the attempted 2294. In Burton’s last visit to Martinsville Speedway in October for the National Debt Relief 250 the veteran Virginia driver would start in the 21st position and scratch and claw his way thru the field to come away with a 9th place finish. In nine starts Burton has one Top-5 finish, three Top-10’s, and six Top-15 finishes at the famed Martinsville Speedway.

– Practice; After receiving the green light thru NXS technical inspection Friday afternoon, 40 NXS cars would be split in two groups for a pair of 25-minute practice sessions. Scheduled apart of Group 1, Perkins would record a fast lap of 20.643 at 91.731 mph on Lap-6 of his 33-lap session earning the No. 31 FVP Chevrolet 4th quick in the group and 9thfast overall of the 40 cars entered.

– Starting Position; At the conclusion of the 25-minute practice session, the No. 31 FVP team would be given ten minutes to make adjustments, change tires, and add fuel prior to moving into qualifying to determine the starting order for Saturday afternoon’s Marine Corps 250. In 2025, short-track qualifying would consist of a single round of single car qualifying for two laps. Scheduled to hit the track 15th to make his two-lap qualification run, Perkins would log a lap of 20.334 at 93.125 mph placing the No. 31 FVP Chevrolet 22nd overall. Perkins will line up outside Row 11 in the 22ndposition for Saturday’s Marine Corps 250.

– Martinsville Speedway Stats; Lining up for his seventh NXS race of his career at Martinsville on Saturday, Blaine Perkins comes into the event holding an average finish of 19.2. The Fall visit to Martinsville in 2023 would become a highlight in Perkins young career as the California driver would capture a career best NXS finish of 10th in the Dead On Tools 250 after starting in the 23rd position. Perkins holds a 98.4% lap completion rate with 1501 laps completed of the attempted 1526. Perkins’s last visit to Martinsville Speedway in October for the National Debt Relief 250 would see the 25-year-old start in the 24th position and maintain speed all day to come away with a 19th place finish. In six starts Perkins has one Top-10 finish, with four Top-20 finishes at the paperclip shaped track.
