Parker Retzlaff – No. 31 FUNKAWAY Chevrolet Camaro SS Preview- Nashville Superspeedway

– Practice; After the completion of a mandatory engine and safety inspection on Friday afternoon, Parker Retzlaff and the Funkaway Chevrolet No. 31 would take to the 1.333-mile concrete oval of Nashville Superspeedway for a 50-minute practice session. In just his second visit to the Tennessee oval, Retzlaff would record a fast lap of 31.356 at 152.698 mph on Lap-1 of his 24-lap session placing the Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender 20th of the 41 cars entered for the NXS Tennessee Lottery 250. 

– Starting Position; Immediately after the conclusion of Friday’s 50-minute practice session, NXS teams were given two-hours to prepare for NXS technical inspection prior to Tennessee Lottery 250 qualifying scheduled for Saturday morning at 11:05 AM CT (12:05 PM ET). In 2023, Intermediate sized tracks will use a single-lap of qualifying to determine the starting lineup. With 41 cars entered, three cars miss the race. Retzlaff is scheduled to go out 20th in the order to make his qualification lap. NXS Qualifying will be shown in its entirety LIVE on USA Network.

– Nashville Superspeedway Stats; Saturday’s Tennessee Lottery 250 will mark Retzlaff’s second career start at Nashville Superspeedway. Last season in his just his fifth NXS start, the 19-year-old Wisconsin native would qualify in the 25th position before working his way up to a 12th place finish by the end of the 118 Laps.

– Practice; After the completion of a mandatory engine and safety inspection on Friday afternoon, Jeb Burton would take his Hawkins Homes Chevrolet Camaro No. 27 to the 1.333-mile concrete oval of Nashville Superspeedway for a 50-minute practice session. Burton would lay down a fast lap of 31.352 at 152.718 mph on Lap-3 of his 21-lap session placing the veteran Virginia driver 19th of the 41 cars entered for the NXS Tennessee Lottery 250.

– Starting Position; Immediately after the conclusion of Friday’s 50-minute practice session, NXS teams were given two-hours to prepare for NXS technical inspection prior to Tennessee Lottery 250 qualifying scheduled for Saturday morning at 11:05 AM CT (12:05 PM ET). – Nashville Superspeedway Stats; Burton will make his third career start at the unique Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday when he takes the green flag for the Tennessee Lottery 250. Last season, Burton would start in 7th and maintain track position in the Top-15 for the first half of the race before getting caught up in an accident with No. 2 & No. 07 on Lap-126 ending his day early. The final run-down would credit Burton with the 35th position. In Burtons first start at Nashville Superspeedway in 2021, the Virginia driver would quickly take to the liking of the concrete surface qualifying in the sixth spot and would remain a contender for the win the entire day. At the conclusion of 189-Laps, Burton would come up short with a 7th place finish.
