NASCAR Xfinity Series Race Recap:

– Leading a race-high 92 laps, #18-Sammy Smith won the United Rentals 200 Xfinity Series Season race at Phoenix Raceway. At 18 years old, Smith becomes the youngest winner at Phoenix in series history. It’s also the first win of his career.

– Making his first start since last July, #19-Ryan Truex finished runner-up. #2-Sheldon Creed overcame a late-race spin to place third, with #98-Riley Herbst and #16-Chandler Smith rounding out the top five.

– #20-John Hunter Nemechek finished sixth, as #21-Austin Hill, #8-Josh Berry, #10-Kyle Busch and #11-Daniel Hemric made up the top 10. While battling for third on the final lap, Kaulig Racing teammates #16-Smith and #10-Busch got into each other, hindering each other’s finishing position.

– #7-Justin Allgaier swept the first two stages — the eighth time he’s done so in his career.

There were 14 lead changes among eight drivers and 11 cautions for 69 yellow flag laps.

– The average speed of the race was 82.079 mph.

After finishing in the 18th spot during Saturday’s United Rentals 200 at Phoenix Raceway, Retzlaff remains steady in the 19th position in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) Driver Point Standings after four races.

After the completion of the fourth event of the 2023 season, the No. 31 team drops one spot to 21st in the NXS Owner Point Standings after Retzlaff’s 18th place finish on Saturday.
