Lap 35; 29; Caution; Crash in Turn-12 as No. 26 gets into the back of No. 92 who in a chain reaction goes into the back of No. 28 followed by No. 14 pushing Retzlaff into the back of his teammate Burton. Retzlaff’s hood would be pushed over the windscreen and knocking a hole in the oil cooler dropping fluid all over the track. Retzlaff would drive back to pit road and then would be towed to the garage area.

– For the second time in as many races, #97-Shane van Gisbergen has won at the Chicago Street Course, though this time he was victorious in The Loop 110 Xfinity Series race. It marks his third straight road course victory, becoming the third driver in series history to have three straight road course wins. Van Gisbergen leads the series with three race wins.
– #19-Ty Gibbs finished second, overcoming a slow pit stop. #17-Kyle Larson led 12 laps en route to a third-place finish. #48-Parker Kligerman placed fourth after starting the race at the rear of the field due to an engine change. #2-Jesse Love rounded out the top five and tied van Gisbergen for the most laps led (14).
– #88-Connor Mosack, #21-Austin Hill, #15-Joey Logano, #7-Justin Allgaier and #32-Austin Green completed the top 10.
– Van Gisbergen racked up six playoff points by winning the race and the opening stage. #21-Hill won Stage 2.
– There were nine lead changes among five drivers and seven cautions for 16 yellow flag laps.
– The average speed of the race was: 56.531 mph.
