NASCAR Xfinity Series Race Recap:

– It took two overtimes, but #7-Justin Allgaier edged out #2-Sheldon Creed for the Wawa 250 Xfinity Series win at Daytona International Speedway. The win is Allgaier’s first on a superspeedway — and his first in 26 starts at Daytona.

– #2-Creed finished runner-up for the second consecutive week, but earned a playoff point by winning the second stage. #11-Daniel Hemric finished third, with #48-Parker Kligerman and #00-Cole Custer rounding out the top five.

– #39-Ryan Sieg placed sixth, as #31-Parker Retzlaff, #78-Anthony Alfredo, #08-Gray Gaulding and #10-Justin Haley completed the top 10.

– Polesitter #21-Austin Hill led a race-high 36 laps and won the opening stage. He was involved in a late wreck and finished 23rd.

– There were 20 lead changes among nine drivers and six cautions for 32 yellow flag laps.

– The average speed of the race was 124.779 mph.

After finishing 15th in Friday night’s WaWa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola, Anderson sits 51st in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) Driver Point Standings after his first event of the 2023 season. 

NASCAR Xfinity Series Owners Point Standings:  

After the completion of the 24th event of the 2023 season, the No. 27 team advances one position to 15th in the NXS Owner Point Standings after Anderson’s 15th place finish on Friday night.
