Stage One Recap:
– Anderson would start the Wise Power 200 from the 36th position after the use of the performance matrix for the starting order, based off the No. 3 team’s ranking in the owner points standings, as well as the finishing position and the fastest lap turned during the Camping World Truck Series’ previous race at the Richmond Raceway.
–The opening stage would run green-to-checkered caution free, with the No. 3 Bommarito/ EasyCare/ BG Services Chevrolet Silverado moving up to the 31st position one lap down as Anderson reported the truck was loose.
Stage Two Recap:
– At the stage break, Anderson would come to pit lane for service, the over the wall crew would go to work with four tires, fuel, and a few small adjustments to tighten the truck up. Unfortunately, entering pit road Anderson would be tagged for Speeding, and during the pit stop another penalty was issued for improper fueling.
–NASCAR would require the No. 3 to come back to pit lane for a pass thru penalty holding Anderson for a lap
– As Stage Two also went caution free the No. 3 would fall back two positions to finish in the 34th position.
Final Stage:
–Under the stage break, instead of coming to pit lane Crew Chief Bruce Cook would instruct Anderson to stay out on the track to take the wave around to earn a lap back in an attempt to gain track position.
-Caution on Lap-70 for a stalled truck on track would be the break Anderson was looking for. He would come to pit road for full service from the over the wall crew with four tires and fuel. Anderson would restart in the 30thposition.
-As the leaders made green flag pit stops on Lap-108, Anderson would be able to stay on track as he was off sequence of everyone else.
