STATESVILLE, N.C. (October 6, 2021) – Jordan Anderson Racing (JAR) has announced that retired CIA operative and now author, Ric Prado, will join Jordan Anderson Racing, Chevy and driver Sage Karam for the Charlotte Roval NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race this Saturday, October 9, 2021. This will be Sage’s 3rd NXS start and second time competing on a NASCAR road course.
“It’s been a challenging, but yet rewarding transition from Indycar to NASCAR Xfinity. To have my Indycar friends and family, Jordan Anderson, Chevy, John Bommarito and our partners like Ric Prado, Montage Mountain, Rich Mar Florist, ISMI, Scott White Career Institute, Evapo-Rust, and all of our other partners team up to make this opportunity possible is simply amazing. I’ve known Ric since I was thirteen years old. Helping him and his team promote his soon-to-be released book is such a privilege” says Sage Karam.
Jordan Anderson goes on to say that “Sage Karam brings with him a drive and competitive spirit that fits in well with our team values. Welcoming a hero like Ric Prado onboard is a privilege, and we want nothing more than to help him tell his story.”
“I am honored to have my story in front of some of the most patriotic athletes and fans in all of professional sports. I’ve spent my entire career of almost 50 years trying to pay back this wonderful Country of ours for taking me and my family in from the troubles that existed with communist Cuba. I’ve served men and women, heroes, that aren’t here today to tell their own story. And as hard as I have tried, I still do not believe my debt of honor is satisfied” says Ric Prado.
“Writing this book allows me to clear narratives, bring well-deserved light to the CIA, and hopefully let everyone know that what you see and hear on tv, may not always tell the entire story. I owe a lot of gratitude to Michael Fux, Sage Karam, NASCAR, its fans and our country’s patriots. Thank you.”
